Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit Indian actress famous for Hum Aapke Hing Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most popular Indian actors. She started her career in early 1980s. The role she played as Anil Kapoor in Tezaab has made her incredibly popular. She next appeared in the movie Dil in which she starred alongside Aamir Khan. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she began learning to dance at an early age. In her early years, when she started acting as a young actress, most of the films she created weren't successful. Eventually, she found success with Indian filmmaking and rose to the very top. She took a break from her career after her wedding before returning to the industry of entertainment. Recently, she had an important character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women across India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize in India, was bestowed upon Dixit. Also, she is well recognized for her charity work.
