Rosalia Vila is Rosalia Vila is a Spanish flamenco and pop singer. Since she was a teenager, she has been at the edges of both popular and traditional music. Additionally, she plays with genres like hip-hop soul and trap. Pepe Habichuela Flamenco guitarist of great talent, described her voice saying that it was sweet with an old-fashioned bite. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist her 2018 follow-up El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success that topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately winning the Grammy. La Fama featuring Weeknd debuted in 2021. Motomami featured songwriting partnerships with a variety of artists, including Cory Henry, James Blake and many others. The set was released in the month of March 2022, following performances of the song Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was first Spanish singer to sing on her own in the show. Along with taking home three additional Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia was also the first female to be awarded the Latin Album of the Year twice.
