Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene has been impacted by his global impact. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 in the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He collaborated alongside Noriel for Mala Influencia in 2020 and next year, dropped his sophomore album chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021, he sang the duet to TINI's smash track Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge record La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was brought up in a musical environment, as both his mother & younger brother are musicians. In interviews, he referred to his participation in music as compulsory. In his childhood he was taught to perform on the guitar, piano as well as the ukulele. His initial choice of career was to be a vet However, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn to sing with an instructor from a Cuban instructor. What happened was that he discovered his own talent for singing and altered the direction of his life.
